Attention Seeker

How many times do we band this statement around like an insult? As if seeking some attention is inherently 'wrong'. How many times do we shame someone who is seeking attention. How many of us grew up with the core beliefs that seeking attention and expressing needs equates to being 'needy' which is seen to be an undesirable quality. We can end up internalising this core belief and turning this in on ourselves. Not giving ourselves the much needed attention. I'm continually learning to give myself attention. To turn inwards towards myself and not shame myself for wanting some attention. Here's to all us being a little more attention seeking with no shame. When we give ourselves and others our full undivided attention we are showing that we care and that we and others are worthy of love. Happy Valentines Day to you all ❤️
